Language Professionals
was set up in 1988, the year of Australia's Bicentenary. Over the years,
our company has expanded steadily, with its main client base in Australia
and some international clientele. Its performance is testimony to a well-earned
reputation for reliability and innovation, having transformed itself into
a strategic leader within the industry. Language Professionals has built
its reputation for excellence on its ability to provide the full range of
language services using only highly qualified and experienced translators
and interpreters. The company has approximately 800 practitioners, covering
over 80 languages, on call.

Language Professionals
undertakes to comply with the following articles:
- to entrust translation
and interpreting work to professionals with adequate experience in the
relevant subject;
- to ensure, when
required by clients, that translated texts are professionally revised
and edited;
- to have available
the human resources necessary to ensure efficient management of multilingual
projects;
- to have available
the technical and logistical infrastructure needed to fulfil each task;
- to meet the deadlines
agreed with the client;
- to guarantee the
confidentiality of all assignments;
- to strive for terminological
consistency and uniformity in subsequent translations for the same client;
- to give the client
all the assistance and service which he or she is entitled to expect;
- to seek meaningful
and satisfying work for our staff and to recognise and encourage their
professional development.
Language Professionals
obtained AS/NZS ISO 9002 Quality Certification in 1996.

Language Professionals
had the Audit Report for the renewal of its AS/NZS ISO 9002 registration
conducted and approved in July 2002. With this, Australia's leading language
services company has just achieved another milestone in consolidating
its framework for successful expansion, both in terms of resources and
services. Its commitment to this internationally recognised business quality
standard adds immense value to Language Professionals and benefits companies
and organisations who chose them as their language partner, as ISO certification
is the seal of approval that the company is operating in a manner that
best serves its clients.
ISO is known worldwide
as the international quality system standard, which has been adopted by
more than 80 countries. In fact many companies and organisations will
not conduct business with another company unless it is ISO certified.
Therefore, certification serves as a licence to operate in the international
business community.
Language Professionals
was first assessed and registered by Quality Assurance Services Pty Ltd
on 18th March 1996 as having the capability to control the quality of
goods and services provided in accordance with the conditions of Licence
Agreement number QEC 6525 under a quality system complying with the requirements
of AS/NZS ISO 9002:1994, in effect acknowledging the company as a quality
systems model for quality assurance in production, installation and servicing.
The registration covers the management of subcontracted language services
including translation, typesetting, interpreting, multilingual audiovisual
and multimedia & web site projects, as well as language specific recruitment
and consultancy.
Françoise Le
Cossec, Manager of Language Professionals, said, "We have always
had stringent procedures, but ISO compliance officially assures our clients
that they can expect high quality service from our company. The benefits
of ISO certification include increased operational efficiency and productivity,
greater quality awareness, improved management systems and enhanced teamwork."
The certification
reflects the efforts of not only the management but also of the staff
upon whose cooperation and commitment the certification relies. "The
certification process was always a rigorous one, but it was very helpful
to have the support of all the staff in further developing and implementing
the procedures", said Julian Nikakis, Quality Facilitator at Language
Professionals.
