Max Doerfler
Managing Director, Interpreter & Translator

Max is responsible for business affairs, client liaison, accounts management, quality assurance and selecting interpreters and translators. Max is one of the founders of Language Professionals and was instrumental in turning the initial concept into a reality. Max has been involved in the language profession for over 25 years and has in-depth knowledge of the industry. He is a member of the A.I.I.C. (International Association of Conference Interpreters), the only world-wide association of professional conference interpreters and has extensive experience as a German translator and interpreter.
Max also has four years’ experience as a contract subtitler for SBS Television. He is a former Chairman, member examiner and German language panel member of the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). Max was also a founding member and former Chairman of the NSW branch of AUSIT (Australian Institute of Interpreters & Translators). Max’s language ability and experience are complemented by previous professional experience in sales, teaching and nursing. Max is originally from Witten, Germany.
